The gruesome killing of a female Grade 12 student has raised fears among youngsters while some netizens call for justice.
Lara Laridel, a Grade 12 student of Matthew Jackson School, found dead with a slit throat Sunday morning, August 4 in Barangay Tenan of Ipil town, this province.
An informant, who asked not to be named, said the victim was last seen with her boyfriend on Saturday evening.
“The following morning, she was found dead with a slit on her throat,” the informant said.
The boyfriend, whom the informant did not name, was not seen around town after the incident.
One of the netizens, in a Facebook post, urged those who had the knowledge about the incident to come out in the open.
Zhainnex, a relative of the victim, had expressed anger in an earlier post.
The victim, who is Laradel Lara in a Facebook account, wrote under her name John Henry Manaay
Police Maj. Lee Eric Sale Humpa, municipal police chief of Ipil, as of this posting, has yet to respond to queries about the killing. (amm)
