BUUG, Philippines – Two unidentified hold-uppers had carted some P145,000 in cash and jewelry after robbing a businesswoman here Tuesday, June 4.
The businesswoman, identified as Leticia Matugas, 54, was on her way home at around 8:50 p.m. in Purok 5, Barangay Bliss.
The 54-year-old meat vendor was riding a tricycle when two men onboard a motorcycle blocked the road and declared the hold-up.
Shocked, the meat vendor was not able to react when the suspects took her sling bag containing P120,000 in cash, a necklace worth P25,000, and some personal belongings.
The Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office said the suspects sped off toward Barangay Poblacion after the heist.
A follow up investigation is conducted by the police for possible identification of the suspects. (km)
